There are many great tools and resources for writers and sharing them can help others. Over the years, I’ve tried and tested many different tools and services. Below are the ones I still use and love because they make my writing life better and easier.

Scrivener is a fantastic writing software that makes writing and formatting much easier. I love how easy it is to change your story’s structure, create character templates and keep all the research notes in one place. And their Fullscreen composition mode is a godsent for writers with ADHD. I cannot recommend this tool enough.
Publisher Rocket is a power tool that helps indie authors pick the right keywords and categories for their novels. It also provides valuable insights about their niche and genre.
Alliance of Independent Authors is an amazing community and a knowledge hub that equips indie authors with essential tools and writing resources. It also helps us stay on top and ahead of the publishing industry and navigate through legal and other issues. I’ve been a proud member of ALLI since 2021.
Autocrit is am author platform with many excellent writing and revision tools. Among my favourites are genre comparisons and tools to identify weak writing. Autocrit’s story analyser helps you vet your story ideas and their Backwards Blueprint will reverse engineer an outline for tour novel. All in all, Autocrit is my go-to tool to improve my writing and my favourite tool to revise
ProWriting Aid is a great AI-powered tool that helps writers refine their prose, improve their grammar and better understand their writing tics and mistakes.
